What We've Achieved So Far

1/2

Thousands of people helped develop Stroud’s twenty-year Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) which was adopted in December 2016.

What has happened since then?

The Town Council’s NDP is part of Stroud District Council’s Local Plan and underpins all the planning projects and applications for the town including, thinking about routes, pedestrian crossings, better access around the town and so on.

Planning anything that changes the structure of a town takes a long time, and often there are no capital funds to support those ideas. The Town Council uses the NDP as a set of principles to work towards all the time. The NDP has, however, inspired many of the proposals which are included in Stroud District Council’s Levelling-Up Fund bid, the outcome of which is due to be announced soon.
